How do you moisturize your lips?

This cold fall/winter weather gets my lips chapped, what do you use to keep your lips soft and supple during this time of year?  One thing that can help is to exfoliate your lips by either using a damp washcloth or toothbrush to lightly remove the dead layer of skin.  What are your FAVES??  These are all way under $5.00 and do an amazing job!!  Here are some of my favorites in order of importance:

Put this on before bed and you'll wake up with new lips!!  This one has a little burn but I like it, feels like it's working!!

Great any time of day or night or right before applying lipstick!!  Love the minty feeling!!

I got this free with a purchase at target, love the minty scent great stuff!!

Smooth and comfortable and very moisturizing!!

This works, but I'm not a fan of the flavor and the cherry is nasty to me!!

New cut and FOTD

Hello Mariposas...I've been away for far too long!!  Went to Rhode Island last weekend and met an amazing stylist named Melissa and she gave me some lovely layers.  If you are ever in RI check her out!!  I've been growing out a bob for the past year and needed a lil swing!!  I hit 18 again so I needed a new do...ugh!!

For today's look I used Urban Decay's Book of Shadows 4, I used Money (a silvery green) on my lid, Psychedelic Sister and Rockstar (purples) in my crease with X which is my FAVORITE shade of peachy gold for my highlight.  Urban Decay is one of my favorite brands, they have a great range of colors and the quality is excellent!!  On my lips I have L'OrĂ©al Le Gloss in Violet Attitude which was a steal at Target.

Thanks for checking this out!!  Have a lovely weekend!! })i({

FOTD - Tuesday ~ Inglot

Hey Mariposas!!  Playing catch up, I'm a day late but here's what I decided to do something a lil more colorful, maybe inspired by the fallen leaves or a tequila sunrise.  In March I went to the Makeup Show in the city and was introduced to Inglot cosmetics, they are AMAZING!!  The pans are much larger than MAC and comparable in quality and at times surpass their counterparts, and at $5.00 each you are saving $10.50 each shade...NO BRAINER!!  Hope you like the look!!

P.S. I needed to flat iron my hair a lil bit but I was running late, as per usual, I am not a morning person and if it's makeup or hair, makeup ALWAYS wins!!  I'm in need of a hair cut, at the moment I'm growing out a beloved bob...I miss bob he's my go-to style when I need something shorter.  Thank goodness for my LOVERLY stylist Lisa at Believe because I can still work it the cut she gave me is AMAZING!!

I used the top middle 3 colors lightest on the lid, middle blended in the crease and RED in outter V.  Tutorials to follow :)

FOTD Monday

Hola Mariposas!!  The look today was trying not to look like we had no heat or hot water over the weekend.  I didn't want it to give away that I couldn't wash my hair and that I had to boil water on the stove like I was in PR.  Every time the Dept of Public Works or whatever they call it there, would work on the electricity the water would be shut off...ah the memories lol!!

 I used the palette above (first row specifically) to get this look, the right color on the lid used wet, the middle color in the crease and the highlight color on the left.  I purchased this Lorac Multiplex 3D palette on Hautelook for $12 it usually sells for $32, the eyeshadows are highly pigmented, can be used wet or dry and are buttery soft which makes for easy blending.  My favorite color is the one I used for my lid, it's a duo-chrome which looks brown but has a teal cast, I'm crazy about this color!!  You can find it on the cheap in the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette $4.99!!
